Persian people since 5.500 BC have been handcrafting Persian rugs. This is an ancient art that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is still employing people today. During the period of colonization in the mid 1800’s exporting of the Persian rugs began.
Persian rugs became known throughout the rest of the world. Before this time the Persian rugs were used by the tribes that created them and no one else. Each tribe had certain colors and designs that they used to differentiate themselves from each other.

The Japanesse Koi Brings Beauty to Home Decor

Koi is a national fish of Japan. This is also referred as Nishikigoi. Nishiki in Japanese means a colorful fish and Gairo Koi indicate carp. On the whole Nishikigoi means colorful carp. Koi is believed to have its origin in the Middle Eastern region, Iran. They had a variety of fish called Magoi. This was known as the common carp. More than thousands of years ago, Magoi was extensively traded as a principal food source to Japan, Western Europe and China. Koi was initially bred in Japan somewhere in the 1820’s in the town of Ojiya belonging to the Niigata prefecture. While these fish were bred for food, the brown colored fish at rare occasions produced blue and red mutations. The red and white variety fish breed was ultimately perfected and recognized as the contemporary ornamental Koi.
The contemporary and ornamental koi are painted and woven and captured on film to decorate our homes. It’s an excellent choice when it comes to color and free flowing and a relaxing composition. Seems to work well in just the right room and that room then becomes a peaceful place to be.

Kazak Area Rugs: Caucasian or Oriental?
Just when you thought that there can only be one type of Kazak rug in the world, you’re wrong. There are a number of them, though two of the most popular is the Caucasian Kazak and the Oriental Kazak.
What is a Caucasian Kazak?
This kind of Kazak area rug is woven by the people who are living in the southern part of Russia. Their homes are situated in the mountains of Caucasus, which is bordered by the Caspian and Black seas. The Caucasian Kazak rug is one kind of Caucasian rug. Though they differ from one another, they also share several similarities. For example, the patterns that are being used in Kazak speak of the common tradition in creating Caucasian rugs. The same patterns come one after the other, even if they do differ in sizes. Moreover, the colors utilized are very bold and bright, such as red and royal blue. Nevertheless, you can also find some Caucasian Kazak rug that has a tinge of beige or yellow in its design. Most of all, the patterns are all composed of straights or geometric. You can’t see circular or curved designs in their rugs.

Most often, when you look in a home decor magazine you will see a throw draped over a chair perhaps as an accent. You have to admit the eye is automatically drawn to it. It has done its job and that is to enhance the room.
Then when we try this in our own everyday homes, it just doesn’t seem to work the same or give the same effect. This is most often because either it’s not the right design for the era or the room, the colors are clashing with the room itself or its just not be displayed properly either in the way it is laid our or where it is draped.
Almost every room in our house contains some form of art, the throw blankets are the perfect venue for this, and if you tie them in with your wall art then you have created a flow in the room. Where the eye seems to go to one section of the room then that section leads them to the next.

Lady with Fan by Klimt Makes Great Home Decor Review

The first time you see Lady with Fan, you will immediately be taken aback by its beauty. The colors are so vivid, so alive, that it’s hard not to feel a jolt of life surging through your veins. Gustav Klimt is the genius behind this painting. Klimt, a native of Austria, overcame grinding childhood poverty to become one of the world’s most beloved artists.
Klimt was a major influence of the Art Noveau and Viennese Secession movements and he is often thought to have laid the groundwork for Modernism and Art Deco. His themes of love, death, rebirth incorporated many Classical Greek, Medieval, Egyptian styles. He also used symbols depicting the liberation of art from the trappings of traditional culture. Almost a hundred years after his death, his influence can still be seen in many contemporary decorations, jewelry and art.

Best Tips for Finding Area Rugs Online

It’s unfortunate that we don’t get the best from area rugs that they have to offer. We just don’t seem to give them the same attention as we do the full wall-to-wall carpets. Perhaps it’s because the rugs are a small-scale version we don’t place as much significance on them. If we really put some thought into our selection of area rugs though they can make a dramatic change to a room for a lot less money than having to go out and buy expensive furniture to do the same thing.
